TUNA SPREAD PITA

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 WHOLE WHEAT PITA BREAD OF CHOICE
  • 1 CAN OF LIGHT TUNA IN WATER
  • 1 TABLESPOON OF FINELY CHOPPED RED ONIONS
  • 1 TABLESPOON OF FINELY DICED GREEN PEPPERS
  • 1 SERVING OF FINELY DICED CELERY
  • 1 TABLESPOON OF BALSAMIC VINEGAR
  • 2 TABLESPOONS OF MAYONAISE
  • 2 CLOVES OF MINCED OR PRESSED GARLIC
  • 1 PINCH OF BLACK PEPPER


DIRECTIONS:

  1. IN A BOWL, MIX TUNA, DICED ONIONS, GREEN PEPPERS, AND CELERY.
  2. NEXT, ADD VINEGAR AND MAYO AND CONTINUE TO MIX.
  3. ADD BLACK PEPPER AND GARLIC AND THEN MIX THOUROUGHLY UNTIL DESIRED TEXTURE IS REACHED.
  4. CUT PITA IN HALF WITH SCISSORS THEN OPEN AND FILL EACH PITA HALF.
