SOUVLAKI PLATTER

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 CHICKEN BREAST
  • 1 TABLESPOON OF ITALIAN SEASONING
  • 1 SERVINGS OF FETA CHEESE
  • 1 DASH OF PEPPER
  • 2 CLOVES OF GARLIC PRESSED OR MINCED
  • 2 SERVINGS OF OLIVE OIL
  • 1/4 CUP OF BALSAMIC VINEGAR
  • 1 PITA BREAD
  • 1/2 DICED ROMA TOMATO
  • 1/2 SLICED RED ONION
  • 1/2 SLICED RED BELL PEPPER
  • 1 SERVING OF SHREDDED LETTUCE
  • 1 SERVING OF GREEK TZATZIKI SAUCE


SUBSTITUTE WITH PLANT BASED ALTERNATIVES

TO MAKE VEGETARIAN!

DIRECTIONS:

  1. ADD SLICED CHICKEN BREAST, SLICED ONIONS AND SLICED RED BELL PEPPERS THEN 1/4 CUP BALSAMIC VINEGAR AND 2 SERVINGS OF OLIVE OIL TO FRYING PAN.
  2. NEXT, ADD 2 CLOVES OF PRESSED OR MINCED GARLIC FOLLOWED BY 1 TABLESPOON OF ITALIAN SEASONING,1 DASH OF PEPPER.
  3. COOK CHICKEN, ONIONS, AND RED BELL PEPPERS ON MEDIUM - MEDIUM HIGH UNTIL FULLY COOKED ABOUT 12-15 MINUTES. CAREFUL NOT TO BURN ONIONS AND PEPPERS. YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE FROM HEAT BEFORE CHICKEN IS FULLY COOKED.
  4. HEAT PITA BREAD IN TOASTER OVEN ON LOW HEAT UNTIL WARM. SLICE IN 4 PIECES AFTER WARMING.
  5. ADD COOKED CHICKEN, ONIONS, RED BELL PEPPERS, PITA BREAD, DICED TOMATO, LETTUCE AND FETA CHEESE TO PLATE.
  6. SERVE WITH A SIDE TZATZIKI SAUCE AND ENJOY!
